Rebar Detailing & Estimating Services
We started providing detailed and specialized rebar detailing and estimating services to contractors and rebar suppliers in tri-state area (New York, New Jersey and Connecticut) – later on we expanded to nationwide. We have a team of professional rebar detailers and estimators equipped with industry experience and modern & sophisticated technology.
Rebar Detailing & shop drawings enlist rebar placement and reinforcement – the purpose of Rebar Detailing is to assist project managers and site superintendents accurately supervise the rebar installation at the work site. The Rebar Detailing procedure integrates the position of bars also called rebar placements, bending schedule, numbers of rebar lengths, overlapping schedule and more. Our rebar detailers prepare Detailing & Shop Drawings to incorporate the spacing of bars, area, rebar size (thickness) and lap of steel. This information needs to be accurate to a fraction of inches.
Rebar Takeoff And Estimation
Rebar takeoffs and bill of quantities are important to accurately determine the material and labor costs for any concrete work. It important to read through the specification and project drawings to capture small details which can have a major cost impact – for example if there is a need for epoxy coated rebar and the estimator don’t capture that detail, it can make or break a job.
There are two primary methods of quantity take off. Manual Method and digital Method.
Manual rebar takeoff
When cost estimators manually take off rebar quantities, they go through the project contract and contract drawings, specification, shop drawings, and scope of work. To calculate the quantities, they utilize pen n paper (also called old school). Manual quantity take off is a very basic level of estimation, therefore, the estimator must be able to navigate through different documents and still manages to put everything in a logical order. The cost estimator needs to have high level of attention to the details to make the calculation sheet as accurate as possible.
Offscreen takeoff technology
Offscreen Technology digitalizes the plans and drawings. it allows the estimator to digitally take off quantity with the need of printing the drawings, the digital drawings can be stored in various formats such as dwg, .dwf, and tiff. Our team uses latest and advanced rebar takeoff software, therefore minimizing the chances for any mathematical errors.
